ROG has enjoyed success with their laptops and smartphones in recent years and now they turn their attention to tablets. With the release of the 2025 ROG Flow Z13, ROG has presented a beast of a tablet to match their laptop and smartphone lines. With this release, ROG seems to blur the lines of portable computing and gaming devices even further.

The ROG Flow Z13: Power Efficiency Reimagined
The new heart of the ROG Flow Z13 – the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 paired with a Radeon 8060S GPU – brings flexibility in both productivity and gaming. The RDNA 3.5 built-in GPU drew less power, and made the device more efficient while delivering impressive results. Efficiency seemed to be the core concept of the ROG Flow Z13, with each component ensuring to maximize the output while making users less anxious to reach for the power brick.
Unified Quad Channel Memory
The new chipset has brought in even more efficiency to the RAM latency. The ROG Flow Z13 features a unified memory structure, with both CPU and GPU sharing 32GB of ultra-high speed LPDDR5X 8000MHz RAM. This means that memory is dynamically shared as needed depending on what users are doing: computing-heavy tasks like video editing, or graphics-intensive gaming. The unified quad channel memory of the Z13 allowed seamless usage and low latency and made the CPU and GPU perform better.
Revamped Cooling
The 2025 ROG Flow Z13 featured a brand new air cooling system and chamber. The new vapor chamber covered 54% more mainboard real estate compared to its predecessors. The thin heatsink and larger intake vents helped in the airflow department without causing size bloat. Due to its standing configuration when in use, the tablet has more access to cool air, greatly helping in heat management.
The Z13 also featured redesigned air routing in its 2nd generation Arc Flow system, diverting a small amount of the air toward the touch screen to keep the user’s fingers cool. The redesigned 2nd Gen Arc Flow has integrated dust filters to help keep hair and debris out of the machine.
Brilliant Visuals
The Z13 has a compact 13-inch ultra-high resolution and an astonishing 180Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the touchscreen from accidental knicks and scratches. Boasting a 16:10 aspect ratio and 500 nits of peak brightness, the ROG Flow Z13’s display feels bigger than it actually is for more immersive gameplay.
More Ports and Features
The ROG Flow Z13 features a dual USB-C port which supports USB4 and a DisplayPort 1.4 output. The device also sports a dedicated HDMI 2.1 port, a USB Type-A port, a microSD card reader, and an audio combo jack. The Flow Z13 is the only tablet that truly allows gamers to leave their dongles behind.
The Z13 also has a huge 70Wh battery and combined with the power efficiency of AMD Ryzen AI MAX, gives gamers longer gaming sessions with the tablets. With the addition of a central command button allows for seamless access to vital system functions.
