LG G4 rumors: What we know so far

The HTC One M9 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have all been confirmed thanks to numerous rumors, some leaked photos, and of course, their respective MWC 2015 reveals. This time, it’s LG’s turn on the hot leak seat, as photos of what could be the G4 are making their way onto the Internet.
MWC 2015 has come and gone, and we had the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and the HTC One M9 as the main crowd favorites. What we noticed was the lack of LG flagship announcements as the Korean company opted to keep mum about their newest device – until now.
Sourced from Twitter user OnLeaks and NoWhereElse, are the rumored press renders for the upcoming LG G4, which is reported to be announced this coming April or May. This new flagship from LG looks to have a slightly curved screen, similar to the LG G Flex 2 and may be almost bezel-less.
A site selling protective covers for the G4 has released photos of the products, and it looks like LG is keeping the laser autofocus function from the G3 and its kin, as well as the dual LED flash. Of course, the power and volume buttons at the back of the device – an LG trademark since the G2 – will be used for the newest-generation flagship.
The G4 (or whatever name LG will decide to call it), is also reported to run a Snapdragon 810 chip and 3GB RAM. LG already said that the phone will have a new system overlay to Android, dubbed the LG UX 4.0 with Lollipop most probably already installed. When it comes to display quality, reports are conflicted over the G4 having QHD or 3K. Dimensions for the phone are about 148.9 x 76.5 x 9.9mm, given the specs of the phone cases for sale.
Other features that have been floating around include a stylus (for the core flagship device and not an extra variant like the LG G3 Stylus), a 5.8-inch display, and the possibility of a fingerprint scanner, which is the next logical step after LG’s much-loved Rear Key system for powering the device on and off, as well as the volume toggles. Here’s hoping battery capacity won’t drop below 3,000 mAh, as everyone who’s experienced the G3 would know that even a 3k mAh battery isn’t enough for the phone to be used continuously throughout the day.
