SanDisk has a couple of new storage solutions out in the market perfect for smartphone users and people who want to make the most of out the new MacBook.
As smartphones and tablets get more advanced, people are slowly warming up to the concept of generating their own content. From photos to videos, and even documents, we’re all making great use of our devices on-the-go. As we take more videos and photos, however, the need for storage space becomes a concern. The moving and sharing of files is going to take a few steps to manage effectively (via cloud storage or offloading to a desktop), but why not just be able to increase the storage capacity in your phone?
At the 2015 Mobile World Congress, SanDisk introduced the SanDisk Ultra® microSDXC™ UHS-I card. This little microSD has 200GB of storage space, which is around 20 hours of Full HD videos. If the large capacity isn’t enough to impress, SanDisk technology allows fast transfer rates, around 1,200 photos a minute. Of course, not all smartphones currently have the ability to handle that big of a microSD, but it’s safe to say that in the near future, our mobile devices will have the chops to handle more than 200GB of expanded memory (most phones are already capable of expanding to 128GB).
If you’re still on the fence about getting that shiny new MacBook because of that lone USB Type-C port, then here’s something that might seal the deal for your purchase: SanDisk’s new Dual Flash Drive with USB Type-C connector. One side of the gadget is a USB 3.0 port, while the other is a Type-C port. The drive is currently set at 32GB of memory, but it should make data migration to your MacBook easier. Sure, Apple has come out with a multi-port adaptor, but it doesn’t hurt to have one handy in case of emergencies.
The SanDisk Ultra® microSDXC™ UHS-I card and the Dual Flash Drive are now available at all SanDisk kiosks and branches nationwide.
