It’s official: Realme is setting up shop in the Philippines. Hot on the heels of a successful multi-country sale via Lazada and Shoppee, Realme has just announced their formal intentions on becoming available in the country.
Complete with a fresh logo based on the designs by Eddie Opara, partner and chief designer of world-renowned design consultancy Pentagram, the Realme logo is an artistic and impactful representation of both the Realme brand identity and its vision of being “Proud to be Young”, a slogan which- the brand hopes – will be the rallying cry of the global youth.
On November 29, 2018, the newest smartphone brand on the block will be blasting its social media platforms with its full product lineup customized to the local consumer community, which the company has dubbed the “Realme Squad”.
Incidentally, Realme is also looking for tech enthusiasts to join the Realme Squad Leaders, a group of young men and women who embody the brand’s personality to pioneer projects and activities for the community.
The brand was officially established on May 4th, 2018 (National Youth Day of China) by its founder Sky Li together with a bunch of young people who have rich experience in the smartphone industry across countries. Realme’s energetic look is designed to play off with the youth market, a very future-forward segment of the smartphone consumer industry to target. Realme is up to the challenge however, as the brand promises phones that combine power and style at price points that will be appealing to its target market that has a tighter spending window than the traditional smartphone consumer.
