Reviews September 5, 2015 MattGuyver 0
Earlier this week ASUS ZenFestival was launched, showcasing the upcoming models of ZenFones in the Philippines. According to ASUS Philippines, they will be offering a range of models such as the ZenFone Deluxe, ZenFone Selfie, and ZenFone 2 Laser. The ZenFone Selfie and ZenFone 2 Laser are both powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 proc as opposed to the ZenFone Deluxe’s Processor which is the Intel Z3580 (Moorfield). Here’s our first impressions of the Laser!
The ZenFone 2 Laser may share its name with the widely popular ASUS ZenFone 2, but I feel this is a very different beast; not just a powered-down ZenFone 2. Before we get on to the review, it’s unboxing time!
Before we do anything else, Here’s is the complete specifications of ZenFone 2 Laser
- Processor: 1.2GHz qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor
- RAM: 2GB RAM
- Display: 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS display, 267 ppi
- Screen glass: Gorilla Glass 4 Protection
- Storage: 16GB of storage, expandable
- Front Camera: 5MP
- Rear Camera: 13MP
- Sim: Dual-SIM
- Connectivity: 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+
- USB Connectivity: Micro USB / USB OTG

When compared to the ZenFone 2’s backplate plastic cover it is very much different in terms of texture and feel when compared to ZenFone 2 Laser. Sadly, ASUS still has not addressed the lighting of the capacitive soft touch buttons (back, home, and open apps). Stay tuned for the full review of the ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser soon!
