Android purists rejoice! Google has officially announced the latest in their line of smartphones and tablets. The Nexus 6 and 9 are feature-packed and run the latest version of Android: Lollipop!
Google has finally broken the silence on their new gadgets. Meet the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 9!
The Nexus 6 is a 6-inch phablet packed with heavyweight specs, starting with the display: 1440×2560 resolution at 493 ppi! It gets better, as it sports a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor paired with an Adreno 420 GPU. You can pick from two memory flavors for your Lollipop-powered N6: 32GB and 64GB.
When it comes to imaging specs, the Nexus 6 is no slouch: the back camera is a f2.0 13MP shooter with optical image stabilization with dual-LED flash and a 2MP front camera. The rear camera features HDR+ technology and can capture videos in 2160p at 30 frames per second. The Nexus 6 is made by Motorola.
A 6-incher definitely needs a power source to keep it going. The Nexus 6 packs a 3,220maH battery that can allegedly output 24 hours!
The Nexus 9 is the tablet counterpart, an 8.9-inch IPS LCD affair that sports a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor 2.3 GHz paired with a Kepler DX1 graphics card. You can pick between 16GB and 32GB variants for the N9.
As far as cameras go, the Nexus 9 comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 3MP front camera for making video calls. The Nexus 9 is made by HTC.
The Nexus 9 sports a 6,700maH battery and has a great optional add-on: a protective case with a magnetic keyboard!
The Nexus 6 and 9 will be available for pre-order at their respective sites here and here by late October, just in time for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas.
