Lenovo’s K6 Note, which they released earlier this year, was quite a good smartphone in the mid range segment. Now, Lenovo is following it up with what looks to be better specced models, the K8 Note and the K8 Plus. Lenovo revealed their new phones last week, and they are now available in retail stores and online.
Lenovo continues to offer Filipinos unmatched premium mobile experience at a pocket friendly price with the all-new additions to its K series of devices, the Lenovo K8 Note and Lenovo K8 Plus. Designed to enable users to keep up with today’s fast-paced digital lifestyle, these power-packed smartphones deliver superior performance in camera, processor speed, and multimedia experience.
Both come with stylish and strong frames, a perfect blend of predominantly glass and metal that will stand out in the crowd and also fit into most palms easily.
Lenovo K8 Note: Exceptional cameras, processor speed
The most outstanding hardware feature of the K8 Note is its dual camera set-up, which features a 13-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel secondary depth sensor for great-quality pictures. The two cameras work in seamless combination to allow users to take photographs with enhanced depth of field and achieve bokeh, making the phone one of the best camera phones in its class. For those who love snapping themselves, the K8 Note has a 13-megapixel selfie camera with a full-light LED flash.
Powering the K8 Note is a 10-core processor designed for high performance with no short cuts. The phone’s 64-bit processor comes with four power-efficient cores clocked at 1.4GHz, four powerful cores clocked at 1.85GHz and two high-performance cores clocked at 2.3GHz. Also on board is an ARM Mali T-880 MP4 graphics processing unit. Lenovo K8 Note, a deca-core smartphone, is powered to eliminate lags.
Battery life will not be an issue with the K8 Note. Its 4,000mAh battery features a 15W rapid Charger. With this, consumers will not be short of battery juice or memory space on the K8 Note.
The Lenovo K8 Note sports a sleek, all-metal unibody design in fine gold variant. It comes with an advanced water-repellent coating that protects it from spills, splashes or even getting caught in the rain.
Lenovo K8 Plus: Dual cameras, surround sound
The two cameras of the Lenovo K8 Plus—a 13-megapixel and a 5-megapixel—allow users to take their photography game up a notch higher by letting them tweak focus and bokeh levels in their pictures. Users can also adjust the aperture from f/0.8 to f/5.6. The cameras have a dual-LED flash for better low-light photography.
Lenovo has added a special depth editor and depth-enabled mode to the photography app and gallery to let users do more with their photographs. The 8-megapixel selfie camera not only offers a beauty mode and an LED flash but also features a professional mode to allow users to tweak ISO, white balance and other factors even while snapping selfies.
The Lenovo K8 Plus features Dolby Atmos™ technology to deliver surround sound-quality audio. A customizable music key gives users direct access to their music.
The full-HD IPS display ensures great video viewing. Adding VR glasses and switching to the TheaterMax Mode on the phone lets users create a more cinematic experience.
Amidst all the amazing photography and entertainment features, the Lenovo K8 Plus did not miss out on one of important features of a device – long battery life. The 4,000 mAh battery on the Lenovo K8 Plus is rated for up to 2 days of use that means up to 26 hours of 4G talk time, approximately 20 hours of videos, 100 hours of music, and a massive 400 hours of standby time.
“We want to empower the modern Filipino smartphone user experience by providing the best of what Lenovo technology can offer. We want to continually bring the premium features closer to more consumers at a friendly price point. With the Lenovo K8 Note and Lenovo K8 Plus, users are able to enjoy superb photo quality, impressive performance and maximum multimedia experience through Dolby Atmos™ and TheaterMax™ technology,” said John Rojo, country manager of the Lenovo Mobile Business Group Philippines.
The phones run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, with assured updates to Android Oreo. They pack high-end multimedia features such as Dolby Atmos™ and Lenovo’s TheaterMax™ technology.
