Since the release of MU Online last March, thousands of players both veteran and new have flocked to the game and have since launched several weekly PVP and guild events for the community. This September 24, 2020, MU Online Season 14.2 for be launched for both SEA and Maya Servers.
Together with new maps, items, and systems, Season 14.2 will introduce a new playable class for the community: the Rune Mage.
MU Online Season 14.2: Rune Mage
The Rune Mage was born from the union of a warlock and a fairy. Ostracized from society, the Rune Mage lived a life of relative peace, but that changed when the Lemuria Legion attacked. As the only survivor from the bloody battle, the Rune Mage heads to Noria to enact her vengeance.
The Rune Mage will be a new playable class for MU Online. She will come free with the update and features powerful offensive spells fueled by Energy. To make up for lowered health and defense, the Rune Mage can cast two spells at once over a wide area, obliterating enemies before they can even come close to do harm.
As a spellcaster, the Rune Mage can uniquely equip the Rune Mace and El Haz Shield as signature weapons. The Rune Mage has several Warlock skills available to her, like Energy Ball, Fireball, Poison, and Meteor among others. To augment her arsenal, she also has access to Rune Mage-only spells: Magic Arrow, Plasma Ball, and Lightning Storm.
MU Online Season 14.2: New Maps, Items, and Systems
Season 14.2 also introduces the Cubera Mines and Abyss Atlan maps to the game. Players will be able to explore these maps for new challenges and loot. The level cap has been raised to 1150 and with it, new weapons and armor have been included in the upcoming patch.
There will be new level 700 and 750 Ancestral Earrings, level 900 Awakened Soul Weapons, and the level 1000 Frost Blue Eye armor set in Season 14.2, so players will have new goals to achieve as they progress deeper into endgame content.
The Switch Scroll item will also be introduced. This item isn’t for game content, as it allows players to launch MU without it consuming a lot of resources. This item will be very helpful especially when people are practicing self-quarantine and are juggling a lot of tasks on their desktops or laptops all the time.
The new patch also improves the Questing System as well as provides a rework of the Summoner in order for the class to keep up with tougher challenges. Additionally, the Guardian System will be introduced, and players will be able to forge their very own Phantasmal Steed.
MU Online Season 14.2 Events
As servers go back up on September 24, 2020 to herald the new major update, the PlayPark MU Team will also launch several events to celebrate Season 14.2. For starters, there will be a Season 14.2 Login Celebration Event, where players will get free items if they accumulate 80 hours of online game time from September 24 – October 1, 2020. If you’re a newly-registered user AND you are the first in your server to achieve the level breakpoints above, you will have double the rewards.
Season 14.2 is the best time to jump back into the Continent of MU thanks to its improved systems, new items, and to try out the Rune Mage. Expect this new class to factor very prominently in the metagame as all on-going community events will start new seasons.
