New Overwatch Patch is Live! Plus a Free Weekend this November 18-21
GamingNews November 16, 2016 TWENTY8TWO 0
The new Overwatch patch is live now on the main game. This means Sombra is officially playable, along with the new game modes in the Arcade; such as 1-on-1s, 3v3s, and No Limits (which is looking to be the less serious Quick play).
Also found in the Arcade is the new Ecopoint: Antarctica map, a compact arena map available for 3v3s and 1-on-1 duels.
There are also several hero balance changes, the biggest of which is the reduction of ultimate charging time of 25% across all heroes. This is quite a big change as it’ll shift the gameplay dynamics away from just ult-stacking. Along with the ultimate change, heroes such as D.Va and Soldier 76 were buffed, while the likes of Mei and Lucio were nerfed a bit.

Free Weekend
Overwatch has a large playerbase today, though there are still a lot people who are hesitant to buy the game. It does make sense as $40 is a significant purchase, compared to cheaper FPS game options (such as CS:GO which is only $15, and goes on sale multiple times a year), and even F2P MOBAs.
This November 18-21 though, people will get a chance to try Overwatch for free! Not only on PC, but also on PS4 and Xbox One. All 23 heroes and 13 maps will be available to play. Here’s the worldwide deployment schedule for the free weekend:
