Scaramouche the Wanderer (not anymore the Balladeer, it seems) will be coming out in a near-future banner together with Faruzan.

On the heels of Genshin Impact’s Version 3.2 updates—and on the exact day that Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” was released 47 years ago—comes the announcement for a playable Scaramouche.

Called “Wanderer” in recent posts on Facebook and Hoyolab, Scaramouche will have an Anemo vision–he won’t be the Electro user as many players originally thought he would be, despite being created by Raiden Ei. It looks like he will survive his battle with the Traveler as seen in the version 3.2 trailer and will eventually even become part of the party (if you’re lucky enough to pull him, that is).

There are certain differences with the Wanderer and the Balladeer that we know and love, most glaring of which are the clothes: Scaramouche the Wanderer sports a primarily blue and black garb, while the Balladeer’s threads are mostly in black, red, purple, and gold.

Looks like we’ll be getting a lot of character development in the upcoming storyline, as we’re definitely getting a lot more Scaramouche screen time in 3.2 (and probably 3.3).

Together with Scaramouche the Wanderer, another announced character is Madam Faruzan, a genius machinist/mechanic who is also an Anemo user. Looking young for her age, Faruzan acts as a tutor on mechanics, but is unfortunately shunned in Haravatat for yet to be known reasons.

New characters aren’t the only ones that dropped on the last day of October. Hoyoverse also announced its Genius Invokatation, a permanent card game that focuses on PvE, but also has PvP features. All cards will be available in-game, so it’s basically a level playing field where strategy (and not cash) will get you wins.

We’re definitely looking forward to more exciting updates! In the meantime, check out our guides to beef up your team for Spiral Abyss (and help you save up more primogems).
